The Wyss Center’s Leadership team brings extensive experience in science and technology, management, business and scientific operations, research and development, as well as entrepreneurship, venture capital and company building in a range of disciplines and industries.

Science and Technology Development team
This unique interdisciplinary team is the scientific and technical backbone of the Wyss Center. The team’s expertise covers the spectrum of neuroscience and technology development including cell biology, advanced imaging, electrophysiology, data analytics, software development, advanced implantable materials and mechanical and electrical engineering. The team works closely with academic, clinical and industrial collaborators to further develop and mature innovations and transformative ideas in the field of neuroscience.
Translation team
The Wyss Center’s Translation team provides key expertise, essential in the efficient translation of technologies to the clinic. The team works closely with all functions of the Wyss Center organization, particularly the Science and Technology Development team to provide crucial input on issues such as protocol development, clinical trial management, regulatory compliance and submission, and quality assurance as well as business development, intellectual property management and entrepreneurship.
Operations team
The Wyss Center’s Operations team ensures efficient and smooth execution of all technical and administrative activities. The team manages and provides capabilities and infrastructure at the Center that are shared across all Center projects and our wider community.
Academic and Clinical Collaborators
Central to our mission are our collaborations with faculty and clinicians from universities, research centers and hospitals in Switzerland and beyond. Our collaborators work closely with our in-house team. They form an important pillar of the Wyss Center’s multidisciplinary environment and provide a powerful force in our research and development efforts.
Student and Post-Doc Collaborators
Post-doctoral research associates and PhD students from universities and research centers work alongside our in-house teams.

Our engagement and support of entrepreneurs is key to our mission to translate neuroscience innovations into clinical solutions. The Wyss Center team works alongside entrepreneurship partners to help accelerate the journey from bench to market.
The Wyss Center
The Wyss Center is an independent, non-profit organization based in Geneva, Switzerland. It was established in 2014 by a generous donation from the entrepreneur and philanthropist, Hansjörg Wyss.
The Wyss Center focuses on translational neuroscience research and development for human clinical applications.
