Sunny sprint in style for Wyss Center team at Geneva marathon

The Wyss Center relay team sprinted past the finish line of the Harmony Geneva Marathon for Unicef in style on Sunday.
Sporting t-shirts bearing the Wyss Center logo, the team’s dramatic finishing photo made it onto the front page of the marathon website and into the newsletter that was sent out to all 16 000 participants taking part in the packed weekend of running events.
Led by team captain Tracy Laabs, Maria Primiceri, Martina Coscia and Jo Bowler each ran sections of the marathon course, coming 64th out of 250 teams and completing the race in 3 hours 41 minutes.
Live music played along length of the route and Geneva locals turned out in record numbers on the hottest day of the year so far to support the runners.
The team joined other national and international organizations taking part in the event. In total 127 nationalities were represented including Swiss, French, British, Italian, Spanish, American, Brazilian, Portuguese, Belgian, Polish, Indian, Japanese and Moroccan.
The Wyss Center team finished with a sprint on Geneva’s iconic Pont du Mont Blanc.
