Laura joined the Wyss Center in September 2016 as Microscopy Facility Manager bringing expertise in bioimaging and neuroscience. She manages the Advanced Microscopy Facility, a cutting-edge platform which offers both technical support and innovation in imaging technology.

Laura gained professional experience at EMBL, Rome where she worked in the microscopy facility and as postdoc in the pain research field, developing her skills in microscopy with state-of art technologies. She received her PhD in Neuroscience in 2010 at the University College of Dublin, which saw her involved in a project on hypoxia and neuro-inflammation.
