Sriparna Ghosal, PhD
Sriparna is developing and applying novel cell-specific vectors, genome editing, and adeno-associated virus technology to deliver treatments for severe diseases such as chronic pain.
Sriparna Ghosal joined the Wyss Center in September 2022 as a research scientist in gene therapy. She received her doctoral degree at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, USA in neuroscience and then undertook postdoctoral positions at Yale University, USA and EPFL to further her understanding of the molecular and cellular mechanisms that mediate long-terms effects of psychotropic drugs, antidepressants, and stress. During her postdoctoral training, her research has identified novel signaling mechanisms for developing new and improved treatments for depression.
