Nima Mojtahedi joined the Wyss Center as Bioinformatician in Imaging Analysis in May 2022, and as Machine Learning Scientist in January 2024.
Nima studied electronic and electrical engineering during his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees respectively and received his PhD in computational neuroscience from the University of Tübingen. Directly after his PhD, he worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow for almost two and half years in the neurophysiology institute of the University of Tübingen.
During his PhD and postdoc, he developed state-of-the-art techniques to understand mechanisms underlying in vivo function of neuronal networks. Additionally, he worked on the characterization of large-scale endogenous neuronal activity in healthy and diseased brains.
