Hugo França, PhD

Hugo brings expertise in the design of integrated circuits for scientific and medical applications.
Hugo joined the Wyss Center as an Electronics Engineer in November 2018. He previously worked for CERN for more than seven years on the development of electronics for particle detectors.
He was also a visiting scientist at the High Energy Accelerator Research Organization (KEK) in Japan. He later joined EPFL as a researcher where he contributed to multiple projects in the medical domain. He has also collaborated with two startups.
Hugo holds a PhD in Technological Physics Engineering from the IST-Lisbon (PT), and a degree in Electronics from the University of Porto (PT).
