Hugo brings expertise in the design of integrated circuits for scientific and medical applications.
Hugo joined the Wyss Center as an Electronics Engineer in November 2018, then continued as R&D Electrical Engineer Manager. He previously worked for CERN for more than seven years on the development of electronics for particle detectors.
He was also a visiting scientist at the High Energy Accelerator Research Organization (KEK) in Japan. He later joined EPFL as a researcher where he contributed to multiple projects in the medical domain. He has also collaborated with two startups.
Hugo holds a PhD in Technological Physics Engineering from the IST-Lisbon (PT), and a degree in Electronics from the University of Porto (PT).
