Giorgia Pollono

Giorgia Pollono is an Intern in Brain Signal Decoding at the Wyss Center for Bio and Neuroengineering in Geneva, where she joined in September 2026 for her Master’s thesis. Her work focuses on developing and evaluating data-driven algorithms to decode sleep stages from EEG signals, with the aim of supporting sleep interventions that can be deployed outside the lab.

She is completing a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering at Politecnico di Torino, with a background in biomedical signal processing, machine learning and deep learning. She is interested in combining AI and neuroscience to better understand brain signals and neurological disorders.
