David Haslacher
David Haslacher is Lead AI Platform Engineer at the Wyss Center for Bio and Neuroengineering in Geneva, where he leads the development of AIR.BD, an AI-ready brain data platform built as part of the AI Hub, a Swiss national infrastructure initiative for translational neurotechnology. He builds the infrastructure that makes multimodal brain and health data (neuroimaging, electrophysiology, wearables, digital phenotyping) usable by modern AI, from ingestion and harmonization through to model training in a secure, governance-compliant environment.
David brings more than 15 years in software to this work, alongside a PhD in clinical neurotechnology from Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, where his research focused on personalized closed-loop brain stimulation and machine learning on multimodal clinical data. He is passionate about leveraging AI to treat brain disorders, and has worked on the regulatory and commercial side of bringing neurotechnology to market, at the Digital Health Accelerator of the Berlin Institute of Health. Most recently, he was a data scientist building data pipelines and generative AI agents at HMS Analytical Software.
