Alessia Cavallo

MSc

Alessia Cavallo joined the Wyss Center in June 2026 as a Research Scientist. At the core of her work is the implementation of a multimodal recording platform for brain and body signals in patients with psychiatric and neurological disorders, spanning project management, hardware infrastructure, experimental pipelines and analysis protocols. Beyond this, she supports AI Hub projects on hardware decisions and research pipelines, and analyzes behavioral, electrophysiological and imaging data to uncover the mechanisms behind neurotechnological treatments and guide their optimization.

Alessia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Cognitive Science and a Master’s degree in Computational Neuroscience. During her doctoral research, she worked at the intersection of experimental and computational neuroscience, conducting studies in patients with movement disorders and applying advanced signal analysis and machine learning techniques to enable next-generation neuromodulation.
