A Wyss Center spin-in programming network dynamics in the brain

First generative neuromodulation platform

Read/Write Labs, a start-up supported by the Wyss Center, is creating the world’s first generative neuromodulation platform to treat the brain.

Most treatments for brain disorders targeting neurochemistry have broad and often deleterious effects on neurofunction. Read/Write Labs is developing a platform to program network dynamics in the brain in a non-invasive way. The platform harnesses the power of generative artificial intelligence to synthesize, on demand, precision sensory stimulation therapies to address neurodegenerative and neuropsychiatric disorders.

“Generative neuromodulation is poised to become a multi-billion-dollar market in the coming years. Our approach holds promise for developing therapies that precisely match the complex dysfunctions they are intended to treat.”
