The start-up aims to advance and scale intensive monitoring and personalized care, and spur new discoveries in brain science using innovative technology and data analytics. The company offers brain monitoring options designed for easy, patient-friendly, and long-term use outside the clinic.
A small device for endless possibilities
In 2025, The Wyss Center granted BrainScape Medical an exclusive license for Epios®, a cutting-edge device designed for continuous, long-term brain activity monitoring. Epios® offers a minimally invasive solution for diagnosing and treating neurological disorders, with first-in-human trials demonstrating promising results. Developed during seven years at the Wyss Center, Epios® provides full-head subscalp EEG monitoring using minimally invasive electrodes, allowing for continuous brain activity recording. This is critical for managing conditions such as epilepsy and dementia. This system uniquely integrates both monitoring and neuromodulation, enabling real-time therapeutic interventions.

With state of the art monitoring, BrainScape Medical is building next levels in care; neurofeedback and neurostimulation for personalized therapies.
A configurable 7-32 channel, subscalp EEG system inserted using Epios® tools.
The external headpiece magnetically couples to the subscalp transceiver, providing power and data transfer functions for the EEG.
The system comes with Epios® Cloud software for EEG data visualisation, annotation and reporting.
BrainScape will be offering data analytics, reports and insight discoveries as a future service.
