Samantha Barale, MSc

Samantha Barale joined the Wyss Center in January 2023 as an intern working on the NeuroGI project. She is interested in the nervous system and in neurodegenerative disease.
She previously completed a 5-month internship investigating mitochondrial dysfunction and neuroinflammation in Alzheimer’s disease. She has experience in labeling neurons and microglia as well as in advanced microscopy including the use of confocal, epifluorescence and video microscopes.
Samantha holds an MSc in Neuroscience from the University of Nice Cote d’Azur where she studied the development of the central nervous system and neurodegenerative pathology. She is currently studying cellular and integrated neuroscience.
