Michaël Stoeckel, MSc

Michaël has extensive experience in medtech cleanroom infrastructure, maintenance and management in both academic and industry settings.
Michaël Stoeckel joined the Wyss Center in January 2015 as the Neural Microsystems Platform Manager. His initial role was to lead the project of building a 200m² ISO 5 to ISO 7 medtech cleanroom with appropriate infrastructure within the laboratory area. He was also in charge of the technical evaluation of all the equipment that has been installed and that are used in the platform. Currently, he is the technical leader and manager of the platform.
Before joining the Wyss Center Michaël spent ten years in the semi-conductor industry as Field Service Engineer for Nikon and maintenance manager for EM Microelectronic Marin (Swatchgroup).
After several years as maintenance and infrastructure manager in the Solar Cell industry, he joined the Center of MicroNanotechnology (EPFL) in 2012.
He holds a Master of Science in Physics and an Engineer qualification from the University Louis Pasteur (Strasbourg, France).
