Filipa Ferreira, PhD

Filipa’s interest to work at the interface of biology and technology makes her well placed to support the different projects at Wyss center.
Filipa Ferreira joined the Wyss Center in August 2021 as Preclinical Research Associate, where she supports different projects with in vivo studies aiming at developing novel therapeutic methods and devices.
Filipa was previously a postdoc in Neuroimmunology at UZH, where she worked on identifying novel pathways and therapies for multiple sclerosis. She also has hands-on experience with in vitro and in vivo models of neurodegeneration and neuropsychiatric disorders. Filipa holds a PhD degree in Immunology from the University of Zurich (2020) and a master’s degree in Neuroscience from Erasmus University of Rotterdam (2012).
